Sophie takes on the role of marketing intern.
Hi, I am Sophie and I am a second-year student at Leeds Trinity University, studying Media and Marketing. I have been very fortunate to join the Unloc team for the next six weeks and coordinate the marketing department here.
The guidance and support from Unloc in my chosen career path has already allowed me a further insight into basic marketing communications within a professional environment and it’s only week one!
I have been allowed the freedom within my intern role to be as creative as I like. The team are all open to new suggestions I have to help increase the profile of Unloc and highlight the amazing work that is being done.
Towards the end of my placement, I will evaluate my work and create a SOSTAC report to assess the impact of the marketing strategy I have implemented and how to monitor future marketing plans and optimise the reach.
My workspace for the next six weeks!
The set objectives for the next six weeks involve supporting the Enterprise Academy and Student Voice Academy with a focus on increasing the awareness of the organisation’s mission whilst promoting the work Unloc are currently doing.
Unloc’s mission is to empower young people to be innovative changemakers who seek to build stronger communities and sustainable businesses. We develop young people’s skills, enhance their potential and boost their determination to succeed.
I want to boost awareness of the successful businesses that have come through the Enterprise Academy and give them a platform to promote themselves.
I want to also highlight the impact sponsors of Unloc have made and the amazing opportunities that have been created for young people as a result of there sponsorship.
Keep an eye out on our social media channels for updates on events, the latest competitions and the day to day busy schedule of each team member here at Unloc.
Wish me luck!
