On Wednesday (8th February 2017), the Portsmouth College Roadshow began with an exciting challenge for year 10 students in the Portsmouth Area.
The Portsmouth College Roadshow is a series of half day enterprise events aimed at encouraging students to start thinking about and exploring enterprise as an option after education. The Roadshow, sponsored by Portsmouth College and Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), sets students the challenge of creating their own chocolate brand and company, whilst thinking about the costings, packaging and aspects of marketing. After planning their business, students also had the opportunity to act out a 30 second TV advert to promote their chocolate brand.
The brief for the challenge was set by local Chocolatier, Mick Collins, of The Chocolate Lounge. You can see the video brief below.
The first Roadshow day took place at Trafalgar School in Portsmouth, with over 60 students taking part in the challenge. We had some incredible ideas and brands being created. You can see the students in action below.
